Congress leader Rahul Gandhi emphasised the significance of the party's manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections during his address at the 'Jana Jatara Sabha' in Telangana.

He stated that the manifesto reflects the voices of millions of people and embodies their aspirations. Rahul Gandhi outlined five key guarantees (Nyay) promised by the Congress in its manifesto, stressing that they are aimed at addressing the needs and concerns of the Indian populace.

Rahul Gandhi highlighted the core promises made by the Congress, including ensuring employment for youth with a minimum salary of Rs 1 lakh per year. He emphasised the importance of apprenticeship opportunities across various sectors to empower the youth of India.

The Congress leader also unveiled the 'Nari Nyay Law,' which pledges to deposit Rs 1 lakh annually into the bank account of every woman from every family in India. This initiative aims to uplift the financial status of women and their families, thereby bringing about transformative change nationwide.

In addition to empowering youth and women, Rahul Gandhi reiterated the Congress's commitment to addressing agrarian distress by promising to waive off farmers' loans and guaranteeing Minimum Support Price (MSP) as per the Swaminathan formula. He criticised the Modi government's policies, highlighting the disparity in loan waivers and the neglect of farmers' welfare.

Rahul Gandhi further underscored the importance of labour justice, announcing plans to implement a minimum wage of Rs 400 per day for workers under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). This initiative aims to uplift the socio-economic status of labourers and ensure fair wages for their labour.

Lastly, Rahul Gandhi pledged to conduct a caste census across the country, emphasising the need to understand the social and economic dynamics of different communities. This move is aimed at promoting social equity and ensuring equitable representation and access to resources for marginalised sections of society.

Overall, Rahul Gandhi's speech underscored the Congress's commitment to addressing key issues affecting the Indian populace and its vision for inclusive growth and development. The promises outlined in the manifesto reflect the party's dedication to building a more equitable and prosperous India.
