This decision follows the recent Lok Sabha elections, where Rahul Gandhi emerged victorious over Uttar Pradesh minister Dinesh Pratap Singh in the Rae Bareli constituency. Additionally, Congress candidate Kishori Lal Sharma secured a significant win in Amethi, defeating Union minister Smriti Irani.
Pradeep Singhal, the Congress district unit chief for Amethi, explained the rationale behind the venue change. The extreme heat in Amethi prompted the shift to Raebareli, ensuring a more comfortable environment for attendees. Singhal emphasised that the event's purpose remains the same, to express gratitude to the voters for their support.
