The GOC, Lieutenant General Naveen Sachdeva of the White Knight Corps, and the GOC of CIF Romeo visited the Tain area in the Rajouri sector to take stock of the ongoing security arrangements and review the operational readiness.

Sachdeva urged all security forces personnel to uphold their professionalism and vigilance during anti-terror operations.

“#GOC #WhiteKnightCorps accompanied by #GOC #CIFRomeo visited the #Tain #Rajouri sector to review the prevalent security situation and operational preparedness,” the White Knight Corps posted on X on Thursday.

“It added, GOC exhorted all ranks to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and alertness while undertaking counter-terrorist operations.”

Before this, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Upendra Dwivedi, while moving in the direction of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047,’ the armed forces have been successful in transforming J&K from “terrorism to tourism.”

He made these remarks at an event organised by Savitribai Phule Pune University on “Indian Army’s Role in Securing India’s Growth Story.”

“When we talk about the prosperous nation 2047, two prefixes are very important—progressive and peaceful,” he said.

While highlighting the role of the army, Dwivedi said that the Indian army has played its role during natural calamities by providing critical support and performing rescue operations as part of its efforts to mitigate the impact of the natural calamities.

He also pointed out how India is preparing for the 2036 Olympics by developing a talent pool through various sports initiatives and events like the Durand Cup and the Kashmir Premier League.

He said that the Indian Army also plays a significant role in nations’ self-reliance. He said that 85 pc of their capital expenditure is spent on ‘Made in India’ defence hardware.

It is immensely contributing to the Atmanirbhar Bharat Initiative and also helping the local economies, such as in Ladakh,” the COAS said.
