About 27.80 per cent polling has been recorded by 11 am in four Lok Sabha constituencies in the sixth phase of general elections 2024 in Jharkhand.
Among the four constituencies, maximum polling has been recorded in Giridih where 29 per cent polling has been recorded by 11 am. In Jamshedpur 28.45 and Ranchi 28.06 per cent of polling has been recorded.
By 11 am Dhanbad Lok Sabha constituency has recorded the lowest voter turnout of 26.06 per cent.
Notably, a total of 93 candidates are in the fray for these four seats. There are a total of 82 lakh 16 thousand 506 voters in this phase, out of which the number of male voters is 42 lakh 6 thousand 926. The number of women voters is 40 lakh 9 thousand 290. Third gender voters are 290.
In the State Capital Ranchi Governor CP Radhakrishnan cast his vote and appealed to people to exercise their right to vote.
Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s wife and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Kalpana Soren also cast her vote and appealed to her supporters to come out in large numbers to vote.
“The condition of the INDIA block is very good till now and large numbers of people are coming out to vote. This is a testament that people want a change,” she said, appealing to women voters to use their power of vote in the elections.
