As Kerala gears up for the upcoming 2024 election, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan didn't mince words in criticising Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, labelling him as inexperienced and unserious in politics.

Vijayan emphasised that Gandhi's absence during critical political moments and his tendency to comment from a distance have left people with the impression that he lacks commitment to serious political affairs. Despite refraining from commenting on internal party matters, Vijayan highlighted Gandhi's recent remarks supporting central investigation agencies as immature, especially during election time.

During a campaign speech in Kerala, Rahul Gandhi questioned why CM Vijayan wasn't facing scrutiny from central investigation agencies despite allegations against his government.

While Vijayan refrained from directly criticising LDF MLA PV Anvar's remarks about examining Gandhi's DNA, he emphasised that actions provoke reactions, suggesting that comments will invite rebuttals.

In a sharp rebuke, Anvar expressed his disappointment with Gandhi's conduct, stating that someone from the Nehru-Gandhi family should behave differently. Vijayan echoed Anvar's sentiment, implying that Gandhi's behaviour has fallen below expectations associated with his family lineage.

Meanwhile, Vijayan condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent remarks about the Muslim community during a campaign rally in Rajasthan's Banswara. He labelled Modi's statements as defamatory and accused him of attempting communal polarisation.

Vijayan emphasised that Modi's comments about 'intruders' and 'hoarders' were baseless and reflected his ideological bias. He criticised Modi's attempt to exploit communal sentiments for political gain, citing it as a threat to democratic and secular values in India.

During the rally, Modi alleged that the Congress manifesto advocates wealth redistribution to Muslims, a claim refuted by Vijayan as false and aimed at stoking communal tensions.
