In a fervent address to the public in Tamil Nadu's Mettupalayam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unleashed a scathing critique against the opposition bloc, notably the Congress-DMK-led INDIA alliance.
With the Lok Sabha elections looming, Modi accused the alliance of lacking faith in India's capabilities and strengths. He underscored their scepticism by highlighting their past remarks on India's ability to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in vaccine development.
Modi lauded India's successful vaccine production as a testament to the nation's resilience and ingenuity, juxtaposing it against the alliance's purported doubts.
Taking aim at the Congress and DMK, Modi lambasted their governance track record, alleging that their sole agenda has been to cling to power through deceit and false promises.
He criticised the Congress for its decades-long tenure, during which, he asserted, poverty remained pervasive despite lofty slogans of eradication. Modi contrasted this with the achievements of his government, emphasising its success in lifting millions out of poverty through targeted welfare schemes and inclusive development initiatives.
Furthermore, Modi accused the Congress and DMK of perpetuating discrimination and neglect against marginalised communities, including SCs, STs, and OBCs.
He lamented their failure to address fundamental issues such as housing, water, and electricity access, which left millions languishing in deprivation. In contrast, Modi extolled the BJP's commitment to empowerment and social justice, citing flagship programs like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and rural electrification efforts that have transformed lives across the nation.
The Prime Minister reiterated his party's vision for Tamil Nadu, advocating for a state where development knows no bounds and inclusivity is paramount. He promised substantial investments in Tamil Nadu's growth and infrastructure development, emphasising the BJP's dedication to the principle of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas."
Modi assured the people of Tamil Nadu that under BJP's leadership, the state would witness unprecedented progress and prosperity, leaving behind the era of discrimination and stagnation.
Earlier in the day, Modi held a similar rally in Vellore, where he reiterated his commitment to the state's development agenda. With Tamil Nadu poised for elections, Modi's rallies serve as a clarion call for change and a reaffirmation of BJP's unwavering commitment to the welfare and progress of the people.
