The Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) in Germany recently organised a Havan event at the Sivalaayam Temple in Munich, demonstrating their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

This event, which took place on April 14th, was attended by over 100 BJP members and supporters who came together to pray for Modi's success in securing a third term.

The event was marked by enthusiastic chanting of slogans such as “Tisri Baar Modi Sarkaar, with 400 Paar” and “Munich ki pukaar, Modi phir ek baar,” echoing throughout the venue.

These slogans highlight the diaspora's support for Modi's campaign goal of winning more than 400 seats in the elections, under the banner of “Abki Baar 400 Paar.”

Sunil Singh, the co-convenor of OFBJP in Germany, spoke at the event about the unwavering dedication of the Indian diaspora worldwide. He also outlined several upcoming initiatives designed to further consolidate support for Modi and the BJP.

These include a car rally scheduled for April 28 in Munich and a “Chai par charcha” session on May 26th, aimed at fostering dialogue among BJP supporters.

Additionally, the OFBJP has initiated a "phone-a-friend" campaign, enabling BJP members in Germany to contact voters in their home constituencies to discuss the achievements of Modi's government since 2014.

There is also a “Viksit Bharat” video campaign where NRIs in Germany share their experiences and the changes they have observed in India under the BJP administration.

These activities are part of a broader, global campaign to engage Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) in supporting the BJP's ambition to significantly exceed the 400-seat mark in the Lok Sabha.

Singh emphasised the importance of providing a global perspective to India’s electorate, underlining the role of the diaspora in Modi’s campaign.

The BJP's efforts to engage with the international community include inviting foreign party representatives to India to witness the scale of its electoral process and to understand the party's campaign strategies during the elections.

Invitations have been sent to several foreign parties, inviting their representatives to observe the democratic exercise in what is considered the world's largest democracy.

This initiative underscores the BJP's intent to showcase the democratic process in India and the party’s efforts to secure a historic victory in the upcoming polls.
