In a scathing attack on the BJP, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national coordinator Akash Anand rallied voters on Thursday, urging them to symbolically hand a "katora" (bowl) to the BJP through their votes.

 

Speaking at an election rally in support of BSP candidate Suresh Singh, Anand criticized the BJP government's track record on crucial issues such as education, employment, and inflation. 

 

Akash Anand claimed that the BSP was the only party which relied on its supporters and not "dhanna seth"( wealthy people). "All parties, including the BJP, Congress and Samajwadi Party were beneficiaries of electoral bonds and got money in crores but the BSP was the only party that never had such fund through electoral bond", he said.

 

In response, he called upon voters to express their dissatisfaction by metaphorically offering the BJP a "katora" in the form of votes. The upcoming voting in Mathura is scheduled for April 26, with BJP fielding Bollywood actor Hema Malini as its candidate from the constituency.

 

Advising voters, Anand emphasized the primacy of practical concerns over religious rhetoric, urging them to prioritize employment and education over divisive agendas. He highlighted the disillusionment among the youth due to rampant job cancellations and paper leaks, attributing it to governmental inefficiency.

 

Anand further rallied support for BSP supremo Mayawati, cautioning party members against detractors.

 

Turning his attention to the Samajwadi Party (SP), Anand warned against their campaign tactics, urging voters to remain vigilant and reject the "cycle" symbol associated with SP.

 

He also criticized the Congress, accusing the party of exploiting the marginalized communities while in power.
