Rajasthan's Lok Sabha nomination filing begins Wednesday for 12 constituencies


Nomination paper filings for the initial phase of Lok Sabha polls are set to commence Wednesday in Rajasthan, announced Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta.

 

 This phase, scheduled for April 19, will encompass 12 constituencies: Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur Rural, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Karauli-Dholpur, Dausa, and Nagaur.

 

According to Gupta, nominations will be accepted until March 27, with scrutiny slated for March 28 and withdrawal permitted until March 30.

 

Candidates are required to deposit a security fee of Rs 25,000 for general candidates and Rs 12,500 for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates, as stated in the announcement.

 

Nomination filing will be open from 11 am to 3 pm.

 

Vote counting is scheduled for June 4.
