As Tamil Nadu gears up for elections in all 39 constituencies in the Lok Sabha polls 2024. Some top personalities stepped up to vote in their respective constituencies. MK Stalin, Actor Rajnikanth, Congress leader P Chidambaram were among the first to cast their ballot.
The Tamil superstar was wearing a white outfit as he stepped out to vote. The actor was spotted at a polling booth in Stella Maris College in Chennai early in the morning on Friday, April 19.
In videos and photos surfaced online, the actor was seen walking into the polling booth and waiting for his turn. He showed his inked finger as he finished the process.
On his way out, Rajinikanth spoke to the media. In his statement given to the press, he urged everyone to exercise their adult franchise. He said that there is no pride in not voting and then bragging about it. It is every individual’s responsibility to vote and urge others to do the same.
While polling will take place in seven phases across the country. In Tamil Nadu today is the day when all the dwellers of the state will cast their vote in favour of the ones whom they want to elect as their representatives.
Since every political party is trying with all their might to gain the mandate in a state that sends the highest number of representatives in the Parliament, a tight contest is expected in every seat.
All eyes will be glued to the results on June 4 when the outcome of today’s grand festival of democracy will be declared.
