The Trinamool Congress (TMC) unveiled its Lok Sabha election manifesto on Wednesday, vowing to implement various social welfare initiatives and revoke the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) if the opposition INDIA bloc assumes power in the Centre.

Presenting the manifesto at the party headquarters in Kolkata, TMC's Rajya Sabha leader Derek O'Brien affirmed these commitments as part of the INDIA bloc's agenda for governance.

"We pledge to stabilise petrol and diesel prices via a price stabilisation fund. Furthermore, we commit to abolishing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and halting the National Register of Citizens (NRC) procedure nationwide," stated senior TMC figure Amit Mitra.

The manifesto outlined plans to furnish ration supplies directly to households and provide ten complimentary cooking gas cylinders for families below the poverty line (BPL).

The manifesto pledges to augment the number of higher education scholarships available for students from Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).

Furthermore, it vows to raise the current old age pension for individuals aged 60 and above to ₹1,000 per month.

Additionally, the manifesto promises all graduates and diploma holders up to 25 years to be provided with 1-year apprenticeships with monthly stipend. Also, 

Student Credit Cards of up to ₹10 Lakh has been promised to be provided to students pursuing higher education

Despite the TMC's departure from the INDIA bloc in January over disputes regarding seat allocation with the Congress in West Bengal, the party asserted its ongoing membership within the national INDIA bloc framework.
