Actor Aasif Khan has been evicted from Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 20 after receiving the fewest audience votes. His exit took place during Sunday’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode, bringing his eight-week stint in the house to an end.
Aasif’s departure left several contestants emotional. His close friends Yung DSA and ScoutOP were seen crying as he prepared to leave, while Kanika Mann, Aamrapali Dubey and other housemates also became visibly upset.
During his time on the show, Aasif became known for presenting humorous news bulletins under the title ‘BB News’. Through these segments, he shared updates about the housemates and events inside the Bigg Boss house in his own style.
He presented one final bulletin before leaving. “Friends, welcome to the last episode of BB News. Actor Aasif Khan's journey ends here. I'll meet you again in a new character at a cinema near you. You were watching BB News, TathasTwo,” he said.
Following his eviction, Aasif posted a video on Instagram and expressed gratitude to the show, his fellow contestants and the audience. He wrote, “Thank you, Bigg Boss. Thank you, fellow contestants. Thank you, audience. This journey will remain the most beautiful chapter of my life. For now, signing off from the Bigg Boss house. But I promise, we will meet again very soon! Tathastu!”
Arguments during Aasif’s Bigg Boss stint
Aasif was involved in several disagreements during his stay. In a recent exchange with Aamrapali Dubey, she jokingly asked him what kind of actor he was during a light-hearted conversation. Aasif took exception to the remark and said she would realise his stature after leaving the house. He also mentioned the celebrities who had attended and danced at his wedding.
Aamrapali responded that some people considered themselves stars after gaining popularity as memes. The exchange became one of the notable arguments involving Aasif during the season.
Earlier, Aasif had also confronted Uditi Singh after she accused him of touching her inappropriately during an emotional moment. He later had a heated dispute with Qazi Touqeer during a nomination task. The disagreement began after Qazi made a comment about having a heart attack, following which Aasif moved towards him and appeared to threaten to headbutt him.
Aasif Khan’s acting career
Aasif began his career as a junior artiste and worked in films including Ready and Agneepath. He later made a brief appearance in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
He subsequently appeared in several web series, including Jamtara, Paatal Lok, Panchayat and Human.
