Television actor Vikas Sethi, known for his roles in popular shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga, and Sasural Simar Ka, died of a cardiac arrest in Nashik on Saturday night. He was 48.
Sethi's wife, Jhanvi Sethi, revealed that they were in Nashik for a family event when the actor began experiencing health issues.
"After we reached my mother's house in Nashik, he had vomiting and loose motions. He didn’t want to go to the hospital, so we asked the doctor to come home..." she informed
She added, “When I went to wake him up around 6 am on Sunday, he was no more. The doctor there told us he passed away last night in his sleep due to cardiac arrest."
His body has been sent for a post-mortem at Mumbai's Cooper Hospital. The last rites are scheduled in Mumbai on Monday.
Apart from television, Sethi featured in the 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... as Robbie, a friend of Poo (Kareena Kapoor Khan).
He is survived by his wife and their twin sons.
