“Dhurandhar” star Akshaye Khanna has reportedly walked out of “Drishyam 3” just days after the film’s release date was announced.
If reports are to be believed, Khanna left the film over remuneration issues.
Earlier this week, “Drishyam 3” lead star Ajay Devgn had announced that the film will hit theatres on October 2, 2026.
On Tuesday, another “Dhurandhar” actor Ranveer Singh reportedly exited actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar’s much-awaited directorial “Don 3”.
Khanna has join the “Drishyam” crime thriller franchise with “Drishyam 2” in 2022.
He played the role of IG Tarun Ahlawat, who is a close friend and colleague of his predecessor Meera Deshmukh (Tabu).

Khanna has had a highly successful year with twin successes “Chhaava” and “Dhurandhar”, both highest-earning Indian films of 2025.
In the period drama “Chhaava”, he played the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Vicky Kaushal Diana Penty, Rashmika Mandanna, Divya Dutta and Ashutosh Rana rounded off the cast of “Chhaava”.
In the recently released “Dhurandhar”, Khanna played Rehman Dakait, based on the real-life Lyari gangster of the same name. He garnered special acclaim and popularity for his stellar performance in the film, especially with his dance moves in the song “FA9LA”, which continues to keep the internet buzzing.
Akshaye will next be seen in superhero film “Mahakali”, which marks his Tollywood debut. He will play Asuraguru Shukracharya in the Telugu film while Bhoomi Shetty will portray the role of Goddess Kali.
