With the demise of the legendary Asha Bhosle on April 12 at the age of 92, Zanai Bhosle, granddaughter of the late musician, has paid her heartfelt tribute to her "partner in crime." Death of the iconic singer marks a loss for the Indian music industry; however, it is personal for Zanai.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Zanai posted a touching clip of her grandma singing to her while explaining how her life has changed without this person who has been a part of her life since she took her first breath into this world. Recounting how empty her daily routine has become without her, Zanai said that she feels an unbearable void of not having someone around from whom she gets the first hug of the day.
In her tribute, Zanai highlighted how she will miss sharing morning tea and laughter over her "lame jokes" with her now deceased partner. "What do I do now?" she asked, a sentiment that resonated with many of the singer's fans.
Asha Bhosle passed away as a result of multiple organ failure and was laid to rest with full state honours at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park Crematorium. The funeral witnessed a large gathering of some of the finest individuals from the film industry, including Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Vicky Kaushal, who were there to offer their condolences.
