Beyoncé created history at the 67th Grammy Awards by becoming the first Black woman in half a century to win the Best Country Album award for Cowboy Carter.
Her groundbreaking victory marked a significant moment for diversity in country music, long considered a predominantly white genre.
Held at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles, the glittering event celebrated the best musical achievements of 2024.
Beyoncé, who led the nominations with 11 nods, also bagged the Best Country Duo/Group Performance award for her collaboration II Most Wanted with Miley Cyrus.
Adding to the evening’s highlights, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars delivered a stirring performance of California Dreamin’, dedicating the tribute to those affected by the recent wildfires in Southern California.
The duo also won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Die With A Smile.

In her acceptance speech, Lady Gaga spoke passionately about LGBTQ rights, declaring, “Trans people are not invisible. Trans people deserve love. The queer community deserves to be lifted up. Music is love."
Indian-American vocalist and entrepreneur Chandrika Tandon claimed victory in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category for her album Triveni. It marked her first win after a previous nomination in 2009 for Soul Call.
The Grammys also posthumously honoured legendary musician Prince with a lifetime achievement award, five years after the Academy paid a tribute to the late icon.
Among the winners, Sabrina Carpenter's Short N' Sweet earned the Best Pop Vocal Album award, while Chappell Roan was named Best New Artist. Kendrick Lamar dominated the rap categories, winning Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Performance for Not Like Us.
In the Best Rock category, the iconic Rolling Stones clinched the Best Rock Album award for Hackney Diamonds, and The Beatles won Best Rock Performance for Now and Then.
Charli XCX secured the Best Dance/Electronic Album title for Brat and the Best Dance Pop Recording for Von Dutch. Meanwhile, St. Vincent triumphed in the Best Alternative Music categories.
Sierra Ferrell’s American Dreaming earned accolades in the Best Americana Performance and Song categories. Norah Jones took home the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album award for Visions.
The evening concluded with a celebration of global musical talent, reaffirming the Grammy Awards' role in recognising excellence across diverse genres.
