Actress Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment. The claims have caused significant controversy, with Lively alleging emotional distress due to Baldoni’s actions during the film’s production, according to reports.
The lawsuit follows reports of tension on the set of It Ends With Us, the movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel. Lively, 37, outlined several instances of inappropriate behavior by Baldoni in her filing.
TMZ reports that Lively accused Baldoni of making offensive remarks about her weight, discussing sexual topics, and openly referencing his "pornography addiction" in front of her and the cast. She also claimed that Baldoni showed her explicit images and made inappropriate comments about the genitalia of cast and crew members.
The lawsuit highlights a meeting where Lively, along with her husband Ryan Reynolds, set clear boundaries. Her requests reportedly included:
- No more showing explicit videos or images to her.
- No adding sex scenes beyond the approved script.
- No further comments about her late father.

Sony Pictures, the film’s distributor, reportedly agreed to these terms. However, Lively alleges that Baldoni later tried to damage her reputation through what she called a “social manipulation” campaign.
In response, Justin Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, denied the allegations in a statement to People. He described them as “false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious.” Freedman also accused Lively of being difficult on set, claiming she threatened not to complete filming or promote the movie, which he says affected its release.
Representatives for Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni, and Sony Pictures have yet to comment on the lawsuit.
