Having been caught up in several public feuds over the years, “Full House” star Candace Cameron Bure revealed that she has found a new way to deal with online controversies.
The 49-year-old actress had infamously been embroiled in multiple controversies over the years, including clashes with JoJo Siwa and Jodie Sweetin.
“I usually don’t fight back in the comments,” Candace shared on the “Stay True” podcast recently, “because nothing really comes from it. I feel like when you fight back in the comments, it becomes defensive. I feel like the more people defend themselves, the less integrity it holds.”
Candace joked that a lot of the feuds she’s been involved in—which she believes were “not a feud on my end"—were often “just weird.” But she is now in a place where she lets “God fight my battles a lot online.”
“I also let the other people who are genuine fans fight my battles for me,” she added. “Because sometimes they come in, they’re like, ‘She doesn’t do that. That’s not what she meant by that.’”
For Candace, who shares kids Natasha, 27, Lev, 25, and Maksim, 23, with husband Valeri Bure—it takes a lot of “self-control” to not constantly be responding.

“You’re like, ‘God, I just have to let that go ‘cause I’m not gonna please everybody, and just help me walk my walk that is honouring and pleasing to you as best as I can. Help me learn and discern,’” she shared. “That’s the biggest thing.”
It also requires “a lot of patience” for her as well as “grace for people.”
“I pray the Holy Spirit gives me self-control everyday, especially in those situations, ‘cause it feels brutal because you can’t win,” she continued. “You can’t please both sides—you just can’t. So there has to be a point in your life where you just let it go.”
While the former child star didn’t specifically mention any of her previous feuds, former “Full House” costar Jodie recently addressed the issues the two have had with each other concerning their views on the LGBTQ+ community. But according to Jodie, there’s not any true beef between the two.
