Actress Chloe Grace Moretz appears to have confirmed her engagement to her long-time partner, model Kate Harrison in a heart-warming Instagram photo dump from 2024 on January 1.

 

The second to last image in the photo dump showed the couple displaying matching rings on their left hands.

 

"Happiest New Year 💖 so thankful for what this year has brought. The people, the places, our families, our health, our love. Wishing all of you a peaceful start to this new year!" the 27-year-old actress wrote.

The post quickly filled with congratulatory messages from fans and friends alike, with Moretz actively hitting like on the comments.

 

Rumours of the pair’s engagement had been swirling around since April last year when they were seen donning matching rings during a trip to Disneyland. They even shared glimpses of their joyful moments together on their social media, including one in which Moretz gave Harrison a piggyback ride.

 

The duo has been in a relationship since December 2018, when they were seen kissing outside Nobu Malibu, shortly after Moretz's breakup with Brooklyn Beckham, son of football legend David Beckham.

 

While Moretz has kept much of her personal life under wraps, she confirmed her romantic relationship with Harrison during interviews.

 

The actress, who began her career as a child artist with ‘The Amityville Horror’, has been candid about her sexual identity. She publicly came out as gay during the 2024 election campaign where she emphasised her commitment to LGBTQ+ rights.

 

"I believe in the need for legal protections for the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman... we need protections and access to the care we need and deserve," she said.

 

Her commitment to the cause has paralleled with her professional endeavours as she has worked in projects centered around LGBTQ+ themes, including roles that focused on conversion therapy, mirroring both her activism and art.

 

Harrison, on the other hand, is not just the daughter of actors Gregory Harrison and Randi Oaks, she is also an accomplished model-photographer. Having worked with brands like Topshop, Harrison specialises in portrait photography.
