Coldplay to perform live in Mumbai after eight years

Iconic British rock band Coldplay is set to return to India for the first time in eight years, with two performances scheduled in Mumbai as part of their "Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025". The British band, known for hits like "Yellow" and "Paradise", will perform on January 18 and 19 at the DY Patil Sports Stadium.

 

The band, comprising Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Phil Harvey, Will Champion, and Jonny Buckland, will play tracks from their latest album, "Music Of The Spheres", along with their new singles "We Pray" and "feelslikeimfallinginlove" from their upcoming album "Moon Music". 

 

Fans can also expect favourites like "Fix You", "Viva La Vida", and "A Sky Full Of Stars".

 

Tickets for the shows will be available exclusively on BookMyShow from September 22 at 12 pm.

 

Coldplay last performed in Mumbai in 2016 during the Global Citizen Festival.

 

This tour, produced by BookMyShow Live and Live Nation, will begin in Australia on October 30, 2024, and conclude on August 31, 2025, at Wembley Stadium in London.

 

"Moon Music", set to release on October 4, will reportedly break new ground in sustainability, with each LP crafted from 100% recycled plastic bottles.

Coldplay was formed in London in 1997, consisting of vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer and percussionist Will Champion, along with manager Phil Harvey.

 

Renowned for their energetic live performances, the band has made a lasting impact on popular culture through their music, advocacy, and numerous achievements.
