‘Twisters’ star Daisy Edgar-Jones and ‘CODA’ star Emilia Jones are set to star in the film ‘Bad Bridgets’. The period revenge thriller is being written and directed by Rich Peppiatt.
The script of the film was inspired by the book ‘Bad Bridget: Crime, Mayhem, and the Lives of Irish Emigrant Women’ by Elaine Farrell and Leanne McCormick, and has been developed with the help of Queens University, Belfast. LuckyChap and Coup d’Etat are producing the project.

Oscar-winning production designer James Price and costume designer Kate Hawley have also been roped in for the film, the shoot for which will commence in Northern Ireland and Ireland in spring 2026.
In the film, a mysterious letter sets a young woman on a perilous journey from famine-ravaged Ireland to 19th century New York, joining the ranks of Irish ‘Bridgets’ creating mayhem in the city.
