Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh paid tribute to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his concert on Sunday, dedicating the event to the late leader who passed away on December 26 at the age of 92.
A tribute to simplicity and grace
Sharing a video from the concert on Instagram, Dosanjh reflected on the lessons he believes everyone can learn from Manmohan Singh. He captioned the post, "Today's Concert is dedicated to Dr Manmohan Singh Ji. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR Year 24."
In the video, Dosanjh praised Singh for his simplicity and composure, even in the face of criticism. "He lived a very simple life. Even if someone spoke ill about him, he never responded in the same way," Dosanjh said.
The singer highlighted Singh's calm demeanor during heated Lok Sabha sessions, contrasting it with the frequent arguments among politicians. "In Parliament, politicians fight like nursery kids. But Dr. Manmohan Singh taught us to never stoop to that level," he added.

Remembering an architect of change
Manmohan Singh, renowned as the architect of India’s economic reforms and the country’s 13th Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014, left a legacy of dignity and service.
Quoting Singh’s profound words, Dosanjh shared, "'Hazaaron jawabon se meri khamoshi achhi, na jaane kitne sawalon ki aabroo dhak leti hai' (My silence is better than a thousand answers; it has preserved the dignity of many questions)."
He encouraged young people to adopt this philosophy and focus on their goals without getting distracted by negativity.
"Today, I bow my head in front of a man who loved his country and dedicated his life to serving it," Dosanjh said, expressing his deep admiration for Singh’s contributions to India. As part of his ‘Dil-Luminati India Tour,’ Diljit Dosanjh is set to perform next in Ludhiana on December 31.
