Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh made history with the "largest ever Punjabi show outside India" during his 'Dil-Luminati Tour' in North America.
Launching the tour on Saturday night, Dosanjh entertained a crowd of over 50,000 at the BC Place stadium in Vancouver, Canada, performing hits like "GOAT," "5 Taara," "Lover," "Kinni Kinni," and "Ishq Mitaye" from his recent film "Amar Singh Chamkila."
Dosanjh commemorated the milestone with a series of posts on Instagram, showcasing photos and videos from the sold-out show. "HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN. BC PLACE STADIUM SOLD OUT. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR," he captioned the post.
The general manager of BC Place presented him with a plaque acknowledging the event as the "largest ever Punjabi show outside India."
This marked the first instance of a Punjabi music superstar headlining a concert at the Vancouver-based arena, according to Canadian media.
Dosanjh shared a video on Instagram Stories featuring a billboard of his show with "Sold Out" prominently displayed.
BC Place acknowledged the historic moment with a post on X, stating, "HISTORY is made. Take a bow, @diljitdosanjh."
Dosanjh's tour continues with performances in Calgary, Winnipeg, and Edmonton, before moving to the US. The North American leg concludes in Toronto on July 13th.
