Jake Gyllenhaal, poised to star in Doug Liman's forthcoming movie "Road House," has expressed his enduring admiration for Patrick Swayze, the lead of the 1989 classic.
Reflecting on his experiences with Swayze during "Donnie Darko" and revisiting Swayze's performances in "Road House" and other movies, Gyllenhaal reminisced, "I've always remained a fan. His immense talent and the legacy he left have always earned my respect and admiration. His generosity towards me in my early career, offering his time and kindness, left an indelible mark. While our version of 'RH' is different, I hope it's one that he would have enjoyed."
Swayze, who succumbed to pancreatic cancer in 2009, is remembered fondly by Gyllenhaal and fans alike.
Scheduled for release this year on Prime Video, Liman's "Road House" features Conor McGregor, Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, and Hannah Love Lanier in significant roles.
