Bollywood’s chocolate boy Imran Khan, who took a hiatus from acting a decade ago, is all set to return to the silver screen. For him, returning to cinema was never about reclaiming lost fame. It is, as he says, a “natural progression”.
Gearing up for his comeback film with “Break Ke Baad” director Danish Aslam, Imran shared that his sabbatical was spent dealing with a divorce and prioritising personal growth, a period that eventually brought him back to acting.
“The movie is just like what the team of ‘Break Ke Baad’ would be doing 15 years later in life,” he said in an interview.

“It's a natural progression. Danish and I now have a collective life experience. He's been married, and I've been through a divorce.”
Their latest film comes 15 years after the release of “Break Ke Baad” (2010).
“It's just the film we should make 15 years later. This is very much a personal project that came from the creative urge of wanting to tell a story and working with dear friends. The shoot is complete, and it's in post-production. We are looking at releasing it once the streaming platform decides on the date,” Imran said.
Imran was last seen in the 2015 film “Katti Batti”. He later made his directorial debut with the short film “Mission Mars: Keep Walking India” in 2018.
