British singer Ed Sheeran continues to strengthen his ties with Indian artists, most recently collaborating with Arijit Singh during a show in London. This follows his earlier performance with Diljit Dosanjh in Mumbai earlier this year.
On Monday, Arijit Singh took to Instagram to share his gratitude, saying, “#London, thank you for showing up in such a magnificent way last night. Love and gratitude #arijitsinghlive. Thank you @teddysphotos for the #perfect moment," accompanied by a few pictures from the September 15 concert.
Sheeran, known for hits like 'Perfect' and 'Shape of You,' made his mark in India in March 2024 as part of the final leg of his Mathematics Tour, where he performed in Mumbai. His visit to India also saw him meeting Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actor Ayushmann Khurrana.
Videos and pictures of his interactions with SRK and Khurrana quickly went viral, with the actor-turned-musician Ayushmann Khurrana sharing a heartwarming anecdote.
Khurrana surprised Sheeran with his mother’s homemade pinnis, a traditional Punjabi dessert.
“I have admired Ed Sheeran as an artist for years now. As a fellow musician, I have always wanted to connect with him and discuss how his mind works. I surprised him with my mother’s homemade Pinni! I hope this gift will be a memorable one!” Ayushmann said.
During his time in India, Sheeran also appeared on popular Indian shows like Kapil Sharma’s talk show and ‘Breakfast with Champions,’ where he shared the stage with cricketer Rohit Sharma.
