Jacqueline Fernandez urges fans to support Sri Lanka

In a heartfelt response to the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah that has left 159 dead and thousands displaced in Sri Lanka, Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez has spoken out, urging her fans to offer support and assistance.

 

“Sri Lanka is enduring one of its most challenging times – facing floods, loss, and uncertainty. Let’s remember the country in our thoughts and prayers and provide support wherever we can. Stay resilient, Sri Lanka,” the actor posted on Instagram.

 

Jacqueline has a Sri Lankan father and a Malaysian mother, and although she was raised overseas, she takes pride in her roots, frequently representing her country on international stages while primarily working in Bollywood.

Earlier, on Saturday, Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake declared a state of emergency to expedite rescue and relief efforts. As authorities continue to search for many missing individuals, heartbreaking images have emerged online.

 

On the work front, Jacqueline has recently concluded the “Da-bangg Tour” alongside superstar Salman Khan. She was last seen in Sajid Nadiadwala's “Housefull 5”.

 

Her upcoming films include “Kick 2” with Salman and “Welcome to the Jungle” that has a star-studded case, including Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Kiku Sharda, Daler Me and Mika Singh, among others. It is anticipated to hit theatres this Christmas.
