Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence is set to headline and produce a new murder mystery film titled "The Wives". This project marks a collaboration with Apple Original Films and A24.
"The Wives" is inspired in part by the "Real Housewives" franchise, known for its dramatic portrayal of affluent women from various regions, including Orange County, Miami, and Atlanta.
Although plot specifics remain confidential, the film promises a blend of mystery and high-stakes drama.
Lawrence will produce the movie through her production company, Excellent Cadaver, alongside Jeremy O. Harris and Josh Godfrey from bb2.
The script is penned by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley. As of now, no director has been attached to the project.
Lawrence, an Academy Award winner for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook", was last seen in the R-rated comedy "No Hard Feelings".
Her involvement in "The Wives" adds to her growing portfolio of diverse and compelling roles.
