American singer-songwriter and guitarist John Mayer, known for hit tracks such as "Gravity", "Vultures", No Such Thing" and "Why Georgia", is gearing up for his India debut early next year.
The multiple Grammy award winner will perform in Mumbai on January 22, 2026 at Mahalaxmi Racecourse, according to a press release.
The 47-year-old singer said India has been on his list for a long time.
"India has long been on my list of places to play, not just for the vibrancy of its culture but for the way music lives in the everyday lives of people here. To finally perform in Mumbai feels both humbling and exhilarating," he said in the statement.

Mayor’s India debut will mark a packed week of live music, including Lollapalooza India 2026 in Mumbai and prog band Dream Theatre’s shows in Kolkata and Bengaluru.
A breakout rock and pop artist at the start of the 2000s with his albums “Room for Squares” and “Heavier Things”, Mayer’s warm and distinct vocal and guitar approach made him an inspiration for several artists in the years to follow. His live collaborations range from blues legends like B.B. King and Eric Clapton to R&B star Alicia Keys, Ed Sheeran, and more.
