Last year, Punjabi singer Karan Aujla had to stop his concert in London after a fan threw a shoe at him. He has now reacted to the incident, calling the act of throwing things on stage strange.

Karan Aujla reacts

Karan shared his thoughts during an interview. He said, "I always try to treat my fans with respect because they’re the reason I’m here today. I was performing, giving my all, and suddenly this happened. As artists, we put our heart and soul into every performance, and we want to create memories."

He continued, “Throwing things on stage isn’t part of our culture. It’s not how we show appreciation. All I ask for is respect – for me and for every artist who performs on stage."

About the incident

In September last year, during his Karan Aujla show in London, Karan paused his concert when a fan threw a shoe at him. Several videos and photos from the O2 arena in London appeared on social media.

While performing, Karan was hit by a shoe thrown from the audience. After stopping the show, he said, "Hold on! Who threw that? I’ll deal with you one-on-one right now. I know how to fight. Don’t be throwing shoes in shame. (Talking to a person) was it you? What are you trying to do? Come on, please. Be respectful."

According to the Times of India, he also added, "I’m not singing badly enough for you to throw shoes at me. If any of you have a problem with me, come on stage and talk to me directly. I’m not saying anything wrong.” A video later showed the person who threw the shoe being escorted out by security.
