Actor Kartik Aaryan has started filming for his next film, ‘Naagzilla’. The makers shared a video of the team performing a ‘puja’ as they kickstart the shoot of the highly anticipated film.
The team sought the blessings of the Almighty by applying a ‘haldi teeka’ to the clapboard.
Kartik took to social media to share a picture with the clapperboard from the film’s sets. In his caption, he marked the day with another special milestone, the one-year anniversary of his blockbuster ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. He wrote, “1 Year of #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 Day 1 of #Naagzilla Har Har Mahadev (sic).”
In 'Naagzilla', Kartik plays the role of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichhadhari Naag. The actor’s first look as the mystical serpent was unveiled back in April this year.

Karan Johar had shared the motion poster with a quirky caption that read, “You’ve seen plenty of films about humans, now get ready for one about serpents! #NaagZilla – the first epic from Naag Lok! Spreading fun and chaos, Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand slithers into theatres this Naag Panchami — August 14, 2026!”
The film is produced by Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Sujit Jain.
‘Naagzilla’ is set to hit the theatres on August 14, 2026.
