The much-anticipated teaser for Akshay Kumar’s latest film, Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh, has been unveiled, offering a haunting glimpse into one of the darkest chapters of Indian history.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film delves into the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919.
The teaser, released on Monday, takes an unconventional approach by opening with 30 seconds of pure sound—void of any visuals, logos, or titles.
It captures the anguish of the victims through heart-wrenching cries and desperate pleas: “Please stop for God’s sake,” “The doors are locked,” and “Save yourselves! Jump into the well.”
A chilling disclaimer follows, “These visuals are too horrific to display.” The teaser later shifts to a commanding voiceover warning, “Don’t forget that you’re still a slave to the British Empire.”
The film also stars Ananya Panday and R. Madhavan and is slated for theatrical release on 18 April 2025.
Based on the life of India’s top barrister, C. Sankaran Nair, the narrative follows his determined struggle against British rule to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Akshay Kumar’s packed slate includes Jolly LLB 3, scheduled for release on 19 September 2025.
He is also collaborating with director Priyadarshan for Bhooth Bangla, a horror-comedy that reunites the duo after a long hiatus.
The film, featuring Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar, and Wamiqa Gabbi, is set for a theatrical release on 2 April 2026.
