Khushi Kapoor and Karishma Tanna have started shooting for their upcoming film ‘Mom 2’. The film is a sequel to ‘Mom’ (2017), starring Khushi’s late mother, Sridevi.
The development came to light when pictures from the film’s sets surfaced on the internet.
According to reports, ‘Mom 2’ went on floors on October 26 and almost 10 days of shooting has been completed. If insiders are to be believed, Boney plans to announce the sequel of ‘Mom’ in a grand fashion on his birthday, which falls on November 11. ‘Mom 2’ is being directed by Girish Kohli while ‘Mom’ was helmed by Ravi Udyawar.

Earlier this year, in March 2025, at the 25th IIFA Awards 2025 held in Jaipur, Khushi’s father and filmmaker Boney Kapoor had confirmed that he was making a film with his younger daughter.
Boney had stated, “I have watched all of Khushi’s films – ‘The Archies’, ‘Loveyapa’ and ‘Nadaniyaan’. I am planning a film with her too, after ‘No Entry 2’. It could be ‘Mom 2’. She is trying to follow in the footsteps of her mother. Her mother was the top star in all the languages she worked in. I hope Khushi and Janhvi succeeded on this same level.”
