Former Miss World and actor Manushi Chhillar has reportedly turned down an offer to feature in ‘Awarapan 2’, the sequel to the 2007 romantic action drama ‘Awarapan’.
According to reports, Manushi was approached to play the female lead opposite Emraan Hashmi but she did not take up the project.
A source close to the development shared, “Manushi was approached by the makers to play the female lead in the sequel, but she didn’t take up the project. She is currently in talks for another major film and has a jam-packed schedule. The makers are now considering casting Disha Patani.”
Reports suggest that Manushi has signed Dinesh Vijan’s next film for which she has even completed her look test. The film is likely to go under production next month.

“Awarapan 2” is being directed by Nitin Kakkar and is backed by Mukesh Bhatt. The film follows the emotional, gritty tone of the original, set against the backdrop of the underworld.
The original “Awarapan” starred Emraan Hashmi, Ashutosh Rana, and Shriya Saran, and has since gained cult status for its intense storyline and music.
On the work front, Manushi was last seen in “Tehran” alongside John Abraham.
