Srinagar recently welcomed Indian movie legends Asha Parekh, Waheeda Rehman, and Helen, who took a nostalgic trip to the Kashmir Valley, delighting fans and rekindling memories of the golden era of Indian cinema.

 

Asha Parekh, renowned for her iconic roles in classic Bollywood films, shared a heart-warming picture on social media with her close friends Waheeda Rehman and Helen from their Srinagar vacation.

 

 The photo quickly went viral, with fans showering love and admiration, dubbing them the "Vintage Queens" of Bollywood.

 

The trio, who have been friends for decades, appeared to be enjoying their time in the Valley, famous for its scenic beauty and peaceful environment. 

 

From enjoying a lavish breakfast spread to boating in shikaras, they seemed to have had a fun getaway.

With its breathtaking landscapes and captivating ambience, the valley has been a preferred shooting location for countless films over the decades.

 

During the golden era of Bollywood, numerous iconic films were shot in the scenic locales of Kashmir, including Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon" (1963); Kashmir Ki Kali (1964); Junglee (1961); Arzoo (1965); Jab Jab Phool Khile (1965) and  Kabhi Kabhie (1976); among others.

 

These films, featuring stars like Shammi Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, Amitabh Bachchan, and Rajendra Kumar, showcased the region's stunning landscapes and contributed to its popularity as a tourist destination.
