Celebrity couple Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have offered a rare glimpse into their intimate engagement, marking the day the singer-songwriter popped the question. Coinciding with Priyanka's 44th birthday this year, Nick shared the special photograph on social media alongside the caption, "8 years ago she said yes." The image captures Nick holding Priyanka's hand to showcase her diamond ring, while the actor playfully covers her face. Resharing the photo on her Instagram story, Priyanka added, "So grateful you asked, Nick Jonas." Earlier, Nick had dedicated a sweet birthday post featuring a video of Priyanka enjoying a boat ride and blowing flying kisses to the camera, captioned simply "Mi Amor".
The actor received a wave of heartwarming messages across social media from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers on her birthday. Prominent among them were director SS Rajamouli and actor Mahesh Babu, who both extended their best wishes. Mahesh Babu, who stars alongside Priyanka in Rajamouli's upcoming film 'Varanasi', posted an image of her character and wrote, "Happy birthday to the one and only 'Mandakini'. Have the most amazing year ahead PC... Sending you lots of love and wishing you happiness always!" Rajamouli also marked the occasion by sharing two new stills of Priyanka in character, adding, "Grace when she smiles. Fire when she doesn't." Her 'Aitraaz' co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan was among the other high-profile figures sending birthday greetings.
To mark the occasion, the makers of 'Varanasi' officially unveiled Priyanka’s look as Mandakini, presenting her in a fierce and commanding avatar. Sharing the character reveal, the production team posted, "To more adventures... more discoveries... and journeys across every horizon." The unveiling comes as production on the globe-trotting epic enters its final stages, following a progress update shared by Rajamouli in June after the project’s initial glimpse was showcased at the Annecy Animation Festival. Varanasi is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on April 7, 2027.
