Nimrat Kaur marked the 10th anniversary of her career-changing film “Airlift” on Thursday by sharing a nostalgic tribute on Instagram. Her post featured a collection of movie posters and rare behind-the-scenes photos from the production.
Directed by Raja Krishna Menon and starring Akshay Kumar, the 2016 thriller was based on the true story of India’s massive civilian evacuation during the 1990 Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.
Kaur, who played the pivotal role of Amrita Katyal, reflected on the film's legacy, noting that her "gratitude keeps growing" a decade after its release. The film remains celebrated for its portrayal of the rescue of 170,000 Indians, a feat spearheaded by real-life businessman Mathunny Mathews.
