Filmmaker Kiran Rao’s directorial “Laapataa Ladies” has swept the nominations of the 70th Filmfare Awards with 13 nods.
The recently released list also features “Stree 2” which has bagged eight nominations and “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” that has received five nominations. Ajay Devgn's “Maidaan” and Yami Gautam's “Article 370” are also on the list of nominations.
Newcomers Nitanshi Goel and Pratibha Ranta, the lead actresses of “Laapataa Ladies” have made it to the coveted Critic's Award for Best Actor (Female) category along with Bollywood superstars Alia Bhatt (Jigra), Kareena Kapoor (The Buckingham Murders) and Vidya Balan (Do Aur Do Pyaar).
The film's lead actor Sparsh Shrivastava has also received a nomination in the Critic's Award for Best Actor (Male) category, alongside Randeep Hooda and Rajkummar Rao.

This is not the first time that Nitanshi (18) has been nominated along with such experienced actors. Earlier this year, she beat Alia Bhatt (Jigra), Katrina Kaif (Merry Christmas), Yami Gautam (Article 370), and Shraddha Kapoor (Stree 2) to bag her first major acting award. She won the Best Actress in a Leading Role (Female) category at the IIFA Awards 2025.
The winners of the 70th Filmfare Awards will be announced on October 11. The award ceremony is scheduled to be held this year at the AKA Arena in Ahmedabad. This is the second time the ceremony has been held in Gujarat.
