Grammy-winning pop sensation Rihanna electrified the stage during the inaugural day of the opulent pre-wedding festivities of Mukesh Ambani's son Anant and his bride-to-be Radhika Merchant, marking her debut performance in India.
Dressed in a striking fluorescent green and pink ensemble, the international music icon, marking her maiden performance in India delivered a mesmerising performance, enthralling the star-studded audience with chart-topping hits like "Diamonds", "Where Have You Been", and "Rude Boy."
Celebrities from the Indian film industry, including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone, were spotted grooving to Rihanna's tunes alongside renowned playback singer Shreya Ghoshal and choreographer Shiamak Davar.
Expressing her gratitude for being part of the prestigious occasion, the 38-year-old singer-songwriter thanked the Ambani family and extended her blessings to the soon-to-be-married couple.
"Thanks to the Ambani family I'm here tonight in honour of Anant and Radhika. Thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you the best. Congratulations," Rihanna conveyed to the audience.
Amidst cheers from the crowd, Rihanna stirred emotions with her rendition of "We Found Love", prompting attendees to celebrate the power of love.
Following her scintillating performance, the Ambani family presented Rihanna with a bouquet and posed for photographs together.
Adding to the star-studded affair, actress Janhvi Kapoor shared a video of her dancing with Rihanna on the song "Zingaat" from her debut film "Dhadak", hailing the pop sensation as a "goddess".
Before departing, Rihanna graciously interacted with women police officers, taking selfies and spreading cheer. Reports suggest that the Barbadian singer was paid a hefty sum of Rs 74 crore for her captivating performance.
The pre-wedding festivities also witnessed the presence of notable personalities such as Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, philanthropist Priscilla Chan, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and former US president Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka, among others.
Renowned cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and Rohit Sharma, along with spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, were added to the star-studded guest list.
Noteworthy film personalities including Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, and Karan Johar were also among the esteemed invitees for the grand celebration, reminiscent of the lavish affair witnessed during Mukesh Ambani's daughter Isha's wedding in 2018, which featured an unforgettable performance by music icon Beyonce.
