Warning the public against "unverified" medical claims, actor Rakul Preet Singh has publically called out a doctor who alleged on Instagram that she had undergone multiple cosmetic surgeries.
A user named Dr Prashant Yadav, who according to his bio is a board-certified plastic and cosmetic surgeon, shared a post on Instagram on Monday, comparing Rakul Preet’s old photographs and videos with recent ones.
In the video, he alleged that the actor had taken Botox for her chin to enhance her jawline. He further suggested that she had done fillers and undergone a rhinoplasty. Yadav also pointed out how Singh tries to avoid sharing the information about her real transformation with the public and rather talks about fitness.
In the caption, he wrote that his intention was to spread awareness and not to demean anyone.
Rakul reacted sharply to the video, slamming the doctor for misguiding people.

In a strongly-worded Instagram post, Rakul wrote, “FRAUD ALERT: It’s scary that people like him are claiming to be doctors and making statements without any factual checks and misguiding people."
“Being an actor who understands ancient and modern science, I have no issues if people do surgeries, but there is also another thing called weight loss that comes from hard work. Ever heard of that? (BEWARE OF SUCH ‘DOCTORS’)."
The incident has ignited a massive online debate around the ethics of public speculation about celebrities and the intrusive social media trend of scrutinising appearances without consent or evidence.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rakul was last seen in “De De Pyaar De 2” with Ajay Devgn, Javed Jaffrey, R. Madhavan, Meezaan Jaffery and Gautami Kapoor.
