Filmmaker Mohit Suri's romance drama "Saiyaara", featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has breached ₹150 crore mark at the domestic box office, the makers said on Thursday.
The movie, produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF), was released in theatres last week and has emerged as a runaway blockbuster. In a press note, the makers said the film earned Rs 22 crore on Wednesday, which took its box office score to ₹155.75 crore.
"Saiyaara" follows Krish, played by Pandey, an ambitious musician, and Vaani, played by Padda, a shy lyricist recovering from heartbreak. The music of "Saiyaara", which features seven songs composed by Mithoon, Sachet-Parampara, Tanishk Bagchi, Rishabh Kant, Vishal Mishra, Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nisami, is already a chartbuster.
Alongside Pandey and Padda, the romance also stars Geeta Agarwal, Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola and Shaad Randhawa in key roles.
