These are good times for Aneet Padda, who shot to fame with Mohit Suri’s recently released film ‘Saiyaara’. She will be seen next in a courtroom drama on an OTT platform. Aneet will be joined by Fatima Sana Sheikh and Arjun Mathur in the courtroom series ‘Nyaya’ that draws inspiration from real events.
The show, filmed last year, is set to debut soon on a major OTT platform. It explores the complexities of faith and law, with Fatima portraying a determined police officer, and Aneet playing a 17-year-old girl seeking justice after being sexually assaulted by an influential spiritual leader. Aneet, who captivated audiences as the gentle, soft-spoken songwriter Vaani Batra in ‘Saiyaara,’ takes on a starkly different role in ‘Nyaya.’
Produced by Sameer Nair’s Applause Entertainment in association with Mangata Films, ‘Nyaya’ is directed by Nitya Mehra of ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ and ‘Made in Heaven’ fame, and her husband, filmmaker Karan Kapadia. This marks the second collaboration with Aneet, following last year’s Amazon Prime Video series ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry.’ The show also features Arjun Mathur, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub, Raghubir Yadav and Rajesh Sharma.

Meanwhile, Aneet is currently basking in the success of ‘Saiyaara’, co-starring Ahaan Panday. As the film continues its impressive run at the box-office, she was spotted at Mumbai airport on Sunday, seemingly headed to Singapore for a celebratory getaway with the film’s cast and crew.
Aneet began her acting career with a brief role in the film ‘Salaam Venky’, starring Kajol. The Prime Video coming-of-age drama series ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ marked her first lead role. She played Roohi Ahuja in the series.
