Scarlett Johansson will star in the new “Exorcist” movie helmed by writer-director Mike Flanagan.
The latest film under the horror franchise is being produced by Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, Morgan Creek Entertainment and Flanagan's Red Room Pictures banner.
“Scarlett is a brilliant actress whose captivating performances always feel grounded and real, from genre films to summer blockbusters, and I couldn’t be happier to have her join this Exorcist film,” said Flanagan, who gained fame for "The Haunting of Hill House".
Also in the pipeline for Johansson is Brad Bird’s "Ray Gunn" that is set to release on Netflix. The film follows the story of Raymund Gunn, played by Johansson, the last human private detective, in a futuristic world inhabited by humans and aliens.
