Sonam Kapoor has shed light on the contrasting lifestyles of the Kapoor clan, offering a glimpse into the health choices of her father Anil Kapoor and uncles Boney and Sanjay.
At the launch of Dr. Shiv K Saran's book, "Own Your Body," Kapoor candidly described her father as an "extreme" health nut who abstains from smoking and drinking, attributing his youthful appearance to both genetics and discipline.
"My father is an extreme, he doesn't drink, smoke or doesn't do anything. Boney chachu loves the good life, he loves to eat, occasionally he likes to drink, and Sanjay chachu is a moderate one, in between. But they all are good looking healthy men," said the "Neerja" Actor.
The conversation took a poignant turn as Kapoor credited her mother with Anil Kapoor's continued vitality in his 60s.
Recalling her mother's pioneering efforts in establishing the first personal training gym in Mumbai, Kapoor lauded her mother's lifelong commitment to health and fitness.
She playfully described her mother as a "very good Indian wife" who playfully manages her husband's occasional cravings.
"Honestly, since I remember my mom started the first personal training gym in Mumbai. This was many many years ago.. So it is my mother who has been very very healthy from the very beginning. Very health conscious. My dad would love to indulge sometimes but my mother kind of controls him like a very good Indian wife," she added.
The event also brought together Sonam's husband Anand Ahuja and father-in-law Harish Ahuja, offering a glimpse into the extended family's shared interest in well-being.
Kapoor's insights, delivered with characteristic wit and honesty, paint a fascinating picture of the Kapoor family's diverse health philosophies and habits.
