Shah Rukh Khan, along with his sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan, will give the Hindi voice for the character Mufasa in the upcoming adventure musical 'Mufasa: The Lion King'.
Khan, 58, shared an Instagram post announcing the same. The video featured glimpses from the upcoming animated movie and had a caption that read, "The king @iamsrk is back as Mufasa, with #AryanKhan and #AbRamKhan by his side."
The actor further shared the release date, which is December 20. "'Mufasa: The Lion King' in cinemas 20th December," the post concluded. It will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
AbRam is set to make his debut, while Aryan has previously collaborated with Shah Rukh in 2019's "The Lion King," where he provided the voice for Simba. Shah Rukh lent his voice to Mufasa in the Hindi version of the same film.
The movie was directed by Jon Favreau. The announcement was made shortly after the actor was honoured with the Pardo alla Carriera award at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, making him the first Indian film personality to receive this recognition.
Despite the consecutive successes of "Pathaan," "Jawan," and "Dunki" this year, Shah Rukh did not have any releases. His next project is Sujoy Ghosh's "King".
There are speculations about Suhana Khan, Shah Rukh's daughter, also appearing in the film.
