Filmmaker Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Productions will be releasing the highly-awaited teaser for Stree 2 on June 14. However, there is a catch. The promo will not be released on social media platforms, but will first screen directly in theatres as the audience line up to watch Munjya, a horror-comedy backed by Maddock, which is also a part of the Stree universe.
Munjya stars the likes of Abhay Verma, Sharvari Wagh and Mona Singh in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Stree 2 was announced a while back. The sequel will once again see the lead pair of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in action.
In an earlier interview, actor Abhishek Banerjee had opened up about the second installment of the movie and said, "Stree 2 is going to be bigger and double the fun. All the actors are deeply immersed in their characters. I had a lot of fun with Apar (Aparshakti Khurana) and Shraddha Kapoor. It was a reunion of sorts. I was telling my co-actors that, for me, it was more of a sense of nostalgia as we landed in the bylanes of Chanderi. It was my first film as an actor in a prominent role, and first times are always special.”
The release date of Stree 2 is yet to be announced.
