The Miranda Priestly fandom is in for another adventure in the realm of high fashion, as Disney is working on a sequel to the 2006 popular film 'The Devil Wears Prada.'

The film's main roles were played by Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. It remains a beloved drama adapted from Lauren Weisberger's novel of the same title.

Directed by David Frankel, the film chronicled the journey of Andy (Hathaway), a recent graduate who is hired as an assistant to one of New York's most influential magazine editors. However, her life takes an unexpected turn after she encounters her boss (Streep), who maintains a demanding schedule and doesn't take no for an answer.

Aline Brosh McKenna, the original film's screenwriter, is in discussions about joining the project once more. Casting details haven't been disclosed yet, and it's uncertain whether the original actors will return to reprise their roles, according to Variety.

The narrative purportedly tracks Priestly as she manages her professional journey amidst the decline of traditional magazine publication and contends with Blunt's portrayal of Emily Charlton, now a high-ranking executive for a luxury conglomerate with advertising funds that Priestly fervently requires.

The original movie quickly gained popularity and went on to generate USD 326.7 million globally. It also garnered Streep a Golden Globe for her portrayal as the top actress in the comedy genre and continues to be one of her most beloved roles.

Over time, the film has gained a devoted following, with its scenes and conversations regularly being recycled in internet memes and compilations. "The Devil Wears Prada" also starred Adrian Grenier, Simon Baker, Gisele Bundchen, Daniel Sunjata, Tracie Thoms, Rebecca Mader, Alyssa Sutherland, and David Callegati.
