Actor Triptii Dimri has expressed solidarity with Deepika Padukone amid controversial casting changes for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film “Spirit”.
Weeks after replacing Padukone in the Prabhas-starrer, Dimri liked an Instagram post by celebrity saree draper Dolly Jain. The post praised Padukone's professionalism, noting her commitment to the "Nagada Sang Dhol" dance sequence in “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” barefoot despite injuries.
Dimri's subtle social media gesture has been widely appreciated by fans with many viewing it as a mark of respect and an acknowledgement of Deepika’s dedication and craft. Triptii’s fans been floored with her grace and professionalism amidst the controversy.
Padukone was originally signed to star in “Spirit”, marking her first collaboration with Vanga. However, she was allegedly dropped from the film due to creative differences with the makers and her 8-hour work shift demands that could not be met. This led to widespread speculation that was further fuelled when Vanga posted cryptic statements online seen as indirect references to Deepika’s demands.
