Vedang Raina and Khushi Kapoor, who first appeared in "The Archies" last year, are looking forward to working together on another project.
Last night, Raina and Kapoor walked the ramp for designer Gaurav Gupta’s latest collection, "Arunodaya," at the India Couture Week.
Kapoor wore a silver lehenga paired with an off-shoulder blouse, cape-style sleeves, and a mermaid skirt. The outfit was embellished with crystals and intricate silver zardozi embroidery and beadwork. She completed the look with open hair and striking statement jewellery.
Kapoor, 23, made her debut on the runway with Gupta's show and expressed that she and Raina have developed a strong bond after "The Archies".
"Yeah, 100 percent! I feel like when you are comfortable with a person, things are less hard, and you don't get nervous as much because you are in the comfort of the other person. So definitely," she told PTI.
Raina, 24, who wore a black sherwani with elegant detailing and black pants, said he and Kapoor have known each other for some time now and are comfortable together.
On working together again, he said, "Yes, most definitely!" "I think we have known each other for a while now, and there is a lot of comfort with us, comfort on set, and comfort in our companionship. We would love to do a film for sure," he concluded.
Gupta's assortment featured futuristic-style gowns, saris, lehengas, and tops and skirts for women, while the men's collection included sherwanis, kurtas, and formal wear.
The colour scheme encompassed hues from maroon to silver, as well as white, grey, and black. Most looks were accessorised with elaborate jewellery.
Gupta, who had previously showcased his collection at the Paris Haute Couture Week, described the actors as a delightful couple and expressed his belief that they represent the "future faces of India."
He remarked, "Khushi and Vedang are such an adorable couple, and you can feel the love with them. They are just so adorable. I feel like they are the future faces of India." Discussing his collection, he stated, "It's all about light. We have used a lot of zardozi, beads, embroideries and futuristic shapes."
Raina and Kapoor's debut film, "The Archies", was released on December 7 last year. It also marked the debut of star kids Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda.
The India Couture Week 2024 commenced on July 24 and is scheduled to conclude on July 31. Designers such as Rahul Mishra, Jayanti Reddy, Dolly J, Amit Aggarwal, and JJ Valaya have already presented their collections, and Falguni Shane Peacock is set to be the concluding designer.
