Vikrant Massey has declared his retirement from acting at the age of 37. On Monday morning, Vikrant surprised his fans by revealing his intention to step back from acting after 2025.
In a message posted on Instagram, the actor expressed, “The past few years and even before have been remarkable. I am grateful to each and every one of you for your lasting support. However, as I look ahead, I recognise that it’s time to reevaluate and return home. As a husband, father, son, and also as an actor.”
Massey is currently experiencing the peak of his professional career. His latest film, Sabarmati Express, has gained significant traction at the box office. Before that, he received acclaim for his roles in 12th Fail and Sector 36. One might expect Vikrant to leverage this success, but he has chosen to step away instead.
According to reports, Vikrant is presently working on two films - Yaar Jigri and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. Reflecting on his upcoming projects, the actor stated, "So in 2025, we will meet one last time. Until the time is right. These last two movies and numerous years of memories. Thank you once more. For everything and all that lies in between." Vikrant concluded his message to fans with 'Forever indebted.'
Vikrant began his journey in acting on television with the series Dhoom Machao Dhoom. He rose to fame through Balika Vadhu in 2009, leading to his film debut with Lootera in 2013. Vikrant achieved his first lead role in a film with A Death in the Gunj in 2017 before captivating audiences in Ginny Weds Sunny, Haseen Dilruba, Love Hostel, and 12th Fail.
